Central Tech Students Give Christmas Presents to Gatesway Residents & Community Care

Students at Central Technology Center campuses in Drumright and Sapulpa have given thousands of dollars in aid this December to bring holiday cheer to others. Students in the Surgical Technology, Health Careers Certifications (adult and high school programs), and Computer Software Specialties programs presented over $1,600 in gifts on Wednesday, Dec. 17 th , to residents of Gatesway West in Stillwater . Gatesway West is a residential training center for those with developmental disabilities.

Members of the Student Council at the Sapulpa Central Tech campus presented Community Care Inc. of Sapulpa with $750 in cash and over 500 pounds of food on Monday, Dec. 15 th . The food and cash were raised by the technology center students campus-wide under the supervision of instructor Erik Brummal. The Student Council is made up of representatives of each of the technology training programs on the Sapulpa campus. Community Care helps needy families in Creek County with food, clothing, health and other needs.

"Our students have a big heart and keen sense of how blessed they are, and they want to give generously to help others less fortunate. We have several other projects that are either underway, or will be undertaken soon, to assist these organizations that provide such valuable services to our communities. We want to thank everyone who has contributed to our efforts this holiday season," said Surgical Technology instructor Todd Prough.
