Cindy Lambert, Drumright, was honored at the CareerTech annual Summer Conference as the OkACTE Administrative Division's choice for Teacher of the Year.
Lambert, an instructor at Central Technology Center in Drumright, and has been an instructor in the school's Education Service Center program over five years and contributed to several innovations in that program.
Lambert used her previous experience of creating job-shadowing opportunities to create a program for the Temporary Aid to Needy Families component. It was so successful that several TANF programs across the state adopted it.
Cindy created pre-vocational units to enhance the TANF students' knowledge as they completed their basic education objectives and waited to begin their vocational program instruction at Central Tech. Lambert has also developed curricula to enable students to succeed in academic upgrading. |
