Three veteran state legislators are retiring from the House of Representatives this fall and were honored for their years of service and strong support of the CareerTech system in special activities Wednesday, Aug. 11, on the campus of Central Technology Center in Drumright.
The Central Tech Board, faculty and staff presented special recognition plaques and a letter of appreciation signed by the entire Central Tech staff to Rep. Larry Ferguson of Cleveland , Rep. Mike Tyler of Sapulpa , and Rep. Dale Wells of Cushing.
Ferguson and Tyler are leaving the legislator due to term limits while Wells is retiring voluntarily. Each has a record of strong support for the state's CareerTech system while in office and regular visits to the Central Tech campuses to encourage staff members and learn first-hand of the issues and needs facing the CareerTech system. |
