Central Tech Business Class Students
Donate to Needy Family Fund

Students in Sonja Hendrix's Business and Information Technology classes at Central Tech, Sapulpa , recently made a $250 cash donation to the Sapulpa Wal-Mart Needy Family Fund. The CareerTech students also assisted the Wal-Mart Needy Family Fund Director in "shopping" for gifts for members of each family served by the program.

As a community service project for the BIS program at Central Tech, the students held bake sales and solicited donations on-campus to raise money for the Family Fund. Representatives from the classes, and their instructor/advisor Sonya Hendrix, then delivered the monetary donation to the Wal-Mart manager and helped select gifts in the store for the families to be helped.

Hendrix expressed pride in the student's generosity at Central Tech's Sapulpa campus and gratitude for those assisting the students in their fund raising effort. Among those donating to the event was Subway, Burger King, Family Dollar, Reasor's, Dollar General, Wal-Mart, Slick Baptist Church , Rainbo Bread Store, Harley Davidson and Java Dave's.
