CENTRAL TECH STUDENTS WIN TOP HONORS IN NATIONAL SKILLS COMPETITION

Four Central Technology Center students won national recognition recently for their career skills in contests among CareerTech students from across the United States .

Bridget Reece, Drumright, won the First Place Gold Medal in Administrative Assisting skills competition at Orlando , Florida , in the national meet sponsored by HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) professional organization. Reece was a student this past school term in Health Careers Certifications taught by Kathy Caruthers and Lori Todd at the Central Tech Drumright campus.

James Dickens, Sapulpa , won the Second Place Silver Medal in the Industrial Electronics Mechtronics contest sponsored by SkillsUSA/VICA held in Kansas City , MO. Dickens' Industrial Electronics instructor at the Central Tech Sapulpa campus was Bryan Sams.

Sams' also taught the 3 rd Place Bronze Medal winning team in Industrial Maintenance Robotic Automation skills, Wayne Land of Sapulpa and Lacey Swain, Hominy. Land and Swain also competed in contests at Kansas City and will join fellow students Dickens and Reece on the Central Tech Walls of Fame honoring national skills winners past and present.
