Olive's Jimmy Sumrall Wins Gold Medal and College Scholarship in CareerTech Skills Competition

Jimmy Sumrall, Olive High School Sr. and student in the Network Administration program at Central Technology Center won First Place in computer maintenance skills High School Division competition April 27 th in Tulsa . Sumrall also received a $1,000 scholarship from Oklahoma State University at Okmulgee after competing with contestants from 28 other schools state-wide in the annual meet sponsored by Skills USA/VICA.

Scott Newman, Information Technologies Division Chairman of OSU-Okmulgee also presented Joseph Vaughan, Hugo, a $1,000 scholarship as Vaughan won the First Place medal in the Adult Division at Tulsa . Sumrall's instructor is Nick Gaunt at Central Tech. Vaughan is a student in John Hammons' program at Kiamichi Tech.
