Career Tech Foundation Awards
Scholarships to Baugus and Holloway

The Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation has awarded Otha Grimes Scholarships to Karen Holloway and Shahna Baugus, Central Technology Center Practical Nursing students. Holloway is enrolled in the fulltime class at the Central Tech Sapulpa campus while Baugus is a student in the half-day class at Drumright.

The financial assistance gifts to students enrolled in CareerTech programs in Oklahoma are designed to help students with tuition, books, uniforms, childcare and other expenses related to their student status. The Otha Grimes Scholarships are given to encourage adult students to continue in their training for a career of their choice. Otha Grimes was actively involved in agriculture and oil and gas production in Oklahoma and served as a member of the board of directors of the Oklahoma Vo-Tech (now CareerTech) Foundation.

The Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation was formed in 1970 to assist adult students who may not qualify for other scholarships or student assistance programs.
