"CENTRAL TECH REALITY OPEN HOUSE
SUNDAY AFTERNOON"

"Real skills for real people for real careers in today's world" is the overriding theme for this year's Open House extravaganza at Central Technology Center campuses in Drumright and Sapulpa this Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Today's popular reality TV shows are the inspiration for many of the interactive exhibits that will await visitors to the Central Tech campuses along with an impressive list of door prizes donated by businesses who serve as industry advisors to the Tech Center's training programs and who regularly hire the Tech graduates.

CSI :Tech is the theme in the Cyber Security program at Drumright and the Network Administration and Criminal Justice programs at Sapulpa with visitors trying their hand literally at using some of the crime solving techniques seen on the popular CBS television series.

Students in the Network Administration programs on both campuses will offer as a door prize a new computer built in each program's lab by the students themselves. The winner will selected by drawings during the Sunday afternoon affair.

An antique tractor show will grace the Seminar Center at Drumright while a Tulsa Corvette club visits the Sapulpa campus. Harley Davidson fans will also want to join visitors to the Harley exhibit in the Drumright Center .

Two perennial favorites at the Open Houses are the annual Health Fair at both campuses and the Custom Car Show at Drumright. The public can have their blood glucose levels checked, as well as blood pressure and other services performed free of charge at the Health Fairs. The Car show promises to be the biggest ever, according to Automotive Technology program sponsors.

Parents of small children will want to attend the Central Tech Open House and take advantage of the free finger printing offer for children. Criminal Justice students at Central Tech will be offer the free service that is recommended by law enforcement agencies to aid in locating and identifying children who are missing or taken from their homes. In the same vein, Personal Security quick-seminars will be offered at the Sapulpa campus at three times Sunday at the Sapulpa campus, as well as seminars on how to buy and sell on Ebay.

Interactive exhibits will also be found in Adult Evening Education, Telecommunications, The OSSM Regional Center, Physics Lab, and Graphic Design programs at Drumright.

Door prizes will be given away continually during the afternoon beginning shortly after one o'clock with gifts including Kicker Audio products, DeWalt tools merchandise, a Tri-Pod steel deer stand for hunters, two portable construction light trees, a custom-built Domino set, OU and OSU license plates, bird houses, a computerized customized solitaire game for computers with area high schools mascots on the cards and free hair cuts and style perms. Other door prizes include a digital camera, T-shirts and ball caps and free tuition certificates for adult evening classes and GED classes.

Food and drink will be abundant at the Open House with hamburgers, pizza, chicken strips, hot dogs, Bar-B-Que and Philly Cheese steak sandwiches offered by the CT Grill, Joseph's Fine Foods and Jo's Drive In in the food court at the Central Tech campus.
