Ashley Tull, Drumright OSSM Grad,
Joins NRC after College

Ashley Tull, former Cushing High School graduate and student at the Oklahoma School of Science & Mathematics Regional Center at Central Tech in Drumright, has joined the staff of the nation's Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Maryland after completing her Bachelor's degree in Radiological Health Engineering at Texas A&M University .

Daughter of Dennis and Debra Tull, Cushing, Ashley was selected from among 800 applicants nationwide for the position at the NRC, located near the nation's capitol in Washington D.C. The personable and enthusiastic young Oklahoman expects to be working with the other NRC staff members in the area of public health and health policies.

Ashley paid a visit to her former OSSM Regional Center instructors at Central Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 12th and took time to speak to current students in the center as well as Central Tech's Engineering Technology students about college life and how to better prepare for life on the university campus away from home.

Tull, like many of her colleagues, credits OSSM-RC professors Bryan Kitzrow and Darrel Negelein with making a huge contribution to their readiness for college life. Tull urged the current high school students to let their instructors help them to really learn to study and set priorities and to begin taking the college ACT exams as soon as possible. "Take those exams at every opportunity. The more you take them, the better prepared you will be for college," said Tull.
