Jim Potter Retires After Nineteen Years In Central Tech Business Assistance Center

Jim Potter, Mannford, has retired as Industrial Coordinator at Central Technology Center's Business Assistance Center in Drumright. Potter has lead a team of professionals at the BAC for nineteen years in helping small businesses locate in the region, improve operations or expand their operations and enhance the economy within the Central Tech district.

Most recently, Potter led a team from Central Tech in assisting workers being laid off at the closing of the Kwikset manufacturing facility in Bristow. Extensive assistance continues on-site in Bristow in helping workers train for new jobs or locate employment at other firms in Oklahoma .

Potter was honored at a noon luncheon on the Drumright campus by his fellow employees, Senator Nancy Riley(R-Tulsa), the Oklahoma Dept. of CareerTech Education, and area businesses he has assisted. Superintendent Phil Waul and Board President Fred Caudle presented Potter with a plaque and watch in recognition of his nearly two decades of service at the technology center.
