Eighty-six students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in ceremonies Thursday evening (Apr. 21) in the Seminar Center at Central Technology Center in Drumright. Sixty-eight were inducted for the first time while fifteen were admitted for their second consecutive year and three for the third year.

The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is to promote service, leadership, honesty, community involvement, career development and skilled workmanship among CareerTech students of all ages. The organization, and its local chapters, also endeavors to reward student achievement and promote a stronger linkage between local career technology institutions and business and industry.

In Thursday evening's ceremonies, guest speaker Greg Winters, Superintendent of Kiamichi Technology Center. “I want you to realize this evening that you are the very best at what you do. The Oklahoma CareerTech system is recognized at the best in the nation and you are among the best in the Oklahoma system. As you go through life, remember the feeling you have this evening and let it inspire you to always give your best in every endeavor,” said Winters.
