Central Tech-Sapulpa Students Win
Top Awards at State HOSA Meet

Melissa Grove, Sapulpa; Ashli Brigance, Kellyville; Christin Massey, Sand Springs; and Debbie Ashing, Cushing; from Central Technology Center in Sapulpa, joined more than 1,500 students and educators participating in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference April 13-15 at the Meridian Conference in Oklahoma City.

Grove won First Place in Secondary Prepared Speaking competition. Brigance won Third Place in Physical Therapy. Massey and Ashing won Second Place as a team in CPR/First Aid competition. A classmate, Michael Parker, won Honorable Mention in Clinical specialty with emphasis in Radiology. Michael is from Sapulpa . Margaret Sutton and Katy Gregory are the instructors for the Health Careers Certifications students at Central Tech in Sapulpa .

HOSA is the Career Tech student organization associated with health careers education. The conference tests student skills, knowledge and leadership through more than 50 competitive events.
