SkillsUSA Holds District Conference

The North Central District Fall Leadership Conference for SkillsUSA was held on October 19th at Central Technology Center, Drumright. Nearly one hundred fifty students were present.

Schools participating in the conference included: Central Technology (Drumright), Lincoln Academy (Stillwater), Meridian Technology (Stillwater), and Indian Capital (Muskogee).

Attending schools have several programs that fall under the SkillsUSA organization. Students elect class officers within each program. These officers and those who are interested in leadership skills attend the fall conference for officer training provided by the district student elected officers.

SkillsUSA educates our students through hands-on experiences in leadership, skills contests, teamwork and character development. We were proud to host the conference this year,” says David Palovik, Skills USA District Advisor for Central Tech.
