Central Tech's Elizabeth Rohr Receives CareerTech Foundation Scholarship

Elizabeth Rohr, Sapulpa , has received a $500 Otha Grimes Scholarship from the Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation to assist her with tuition and books as she completes studies in a special Practical Nursing program at Central Technology Center in Sapulpa .

Rohr is a student in the special one-year program for former Kwikset employees who desired retraining in the healthcare field after the Bristow lockset manufacturer closed its Creek County plant.

The Otha Grimes Scholarships are given to encourage adult students to continue in their training for a career of their choice. Otha Grimes was actively involved in agriculture and oil and gas production in Oklahoma and served as a member of the board of directors of the Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation. The Foundation was formed in 1970 to assist adult students who may not qualify for other assistance programs.
