Vocational Classes began in Sapulpa in 1972. Central Tech rented space
to hold welding and accounting classes. In 1976, Central Tech's Board
of Education purchased Gibson's Discount building and 12 acres of land
at 1720 S. Main Street. Remodeling began immediately and the Sapulpa campus
opened the 30,000 sq. ft. building to high school students on August 14,
1978.
Similar to the Drumright Campus, construction has kept the Sapulpa Campus
on the high side of technology. In 1982, the Seminar Center was built
on to the campus, and in 1986, an Industrial Trades Building on the West
side of the campus was completed. That building now houses the Criminal
Justice program and the Educational Service Center.
In 1999 the Sapulpa campus was again remodeled, and in 2002 the Business
Development Center was added to the Southeast corner of the campus. The
Business Development Center also houses the Creek County Industrial Authority
and has been called a "hub" for economical development in Creek
County.
